Lead Carpenter

Our client, a commercial property and multi-family restoration company, is seeking to add a Lead Carpenter to their team in Madison, WI . This is a direct hire position with 1st shift hours Monday – Friday . This position will pay $30-$45/hour depending on relevant experience and will include a full benefits package of health/dental/vision insurance, PTO, and a 401k match. Job Overview As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for providing guidance and supervision to the project team involved in commercial and residential construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that the project team completes their tasks efficiently, effectively, on time, and on budget. You will spend 75% of your time on carpentry related tasks and the remaining 25% of your time on project management duties. Responsibilities Breakdown: Manage commercial and residential carpentry projects in the field. Daily duties will include site prep, demolition, and excavation, rough framing, carpentry, interior/exterior trim, cabinetry/window/door installation, and operating power tools. Assign and explain tasks to the project team. Communication with the team and clientele. Capacity to learn and continually improve. Respond to clients’ requests for emergency repairs. General understanding of building science and trade work (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.) preferred.
