Position Environmental and Safety Health Supervisor Effective Date November 2024 Location Loudon, Tennessee Reports To: Plant Manager Status: Salaried / Full-time Onsite/Remote: Onsite Summary: Supervises and leads all aspects of the Environmental, Health and Safety functions for Del Conca USA Inc. Will facilitate training of associates and management personnel and perform research and special projects as directed by Assistant Plant Manager. Overall, this role is responsible for in implementing and maintaining the “safety culture” throughout all areas of the manufacturing operation to ensure compliance. RELOCATION Assistance is not available for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities: Assists in the implementation and administration of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs within program & OSHA guidelines. Helps to develop and implement department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensure compliance with these areas. Perform research projects regarding operational or site programs, service on project teams, and provide recommendations regarding new or existing operations. Partner with on-site managers to coordinate operations and resolve related HSE problems, questions, and concerns. Oversee and collect a variety of information, perform various tests and analyses, and complete appropriate logs and documentation. Lead and/or partner with management when implementing new or updated HSE prevention and compliance programs. Coordinate activities with regulatory agencies to verify compliance, resolve situations, and maintain a cooperative working relationship. Implement, interpret, and apply programs, policies, and procedures according to applicable laws, rules and regulations. Responsible for all environmental, health & safety related training programs, to include creation and delivery of such programs. Administer and ensure compliance with all TOSHA/OSHA related recordkeeping and accident report/investigations. Interfaces with workers compensation carrier as necessary. Oversee Waste Minimization and company recycling programs. Verify that the plant equipment is in full compliance with all regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain preventative maintenance procedures for all safety related equipment. Ensure full compliance with all fire protection systems and maintain all necessary permits, etc. Manage the activities included in the Construction / Operation Air permit. Develop periodic environmental, health and safety reports. Conduct new hire orientation. This role has two direct reports. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field of study or equivalent education and experience. Ideally, 3 years of progressive HSE experience to include the administration and management of multiple HSE programs. Experience working with regulatory agencies required. Professional certifications preferred. Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other applicable applications. Must be able to respond to and resolve complex health, safety, and environmental questions and concerns. Desired Experience: Experience in the development and implementation of procedures and training requirements to comply with EPA, TOSHA/OSHA, TDEC, standards. Experience in the development, revision and monitoring of air, water, and waste permits. Worker’s compensation experience strongly preferred. Some knowledge of DOT regulations would be helpful. Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Must remain abreast of current related regulatory requirements and changes.
