PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT POSITION Granger ISD - New 37M High School, Gymnasium & Sports Complex at Granger ISD, Texas Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 per year Auto Allowance Fuel card Cell phone I-Pad Bonuses: $20,000.00 Granger ISD- HS and Gymnasium $15,000.00 Granger ISD - Sports Complex Benefits: Health insurance including vision provided by B&C. 7 days paid vacation time. 7 paid holidays. 5 sick days Retirement plan not provided. Contract Type/ Work Schedule: Salaried position with occasional extended hours and Saturdays. Travel Requirements: Travel to and from the job site as necessary to perform the work. Location: Office in BCI provided construction trailer on the job site. Job Requirements: Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in construction is essential. Several years of experience in progressively responsible roles within the construction industry preferred. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Familiarity with construction scheduling and project management software, such as Fieldwire and Microsoft Project. Ability to understand and apply relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate construction crews and subcontractors. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients. Problem-solving skills to address unexpected issues that arise during construction projects. Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational skills to ensure that construction projects are executed efficiently and meet deadlines. Ability to create and manage construction schedules, allocate resources, and track progress. Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of work. Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of construction safety practices and regulations. Proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards on the construction site. Experience with conducting safety meetings and promoting a culture of safety among the team. Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Diplomacy and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during construction projects. Physical Stamina: Good physical stamina to be able to handle the demands of the job. Time Management: Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet project deadlines. Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing project conditions, unexpected challenges, and evolving construction technologies. Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license to travel to and from the construction site and other necessary locations. Certifications and Licenses: Minimum requirement-OSHA 10 HR Certification Record all construction progress on the master construction schedule Resolve construction problems and improve construction methods Coordinating all site construction activities Meet the construction production schedule Controlling budgets and scheduling of construction activities during pre-construction meetings Verify construction work is completed per the plans and construction specifications Enforcing construction site rules and safety Manage the on-site construction activities Receive and manage construction materials Perform construction/installation cost estimates Prepare and manage a construction schedule Complete construction projects within time limits Keep informed of construction progress Overseeing all activities on major construction projects with new building construction and demolition activities Generate construction and operations reports Reviewing design and construction drawings, conducting pre-construction meetings, contractor oversight, monitoring construction schedule, and coordinating construction activities with internal departments Supervise and coordinate all construction activities Meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures Prepare construction schedule and perform regular updates during the course of construction Identifying construction management system improvements
