Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Environmental Safety Engineering Location - Deer Park, TX Type of position : Direct hire Responsibilities: Manage safety compliance in various projects Support Health and Safety within the plant. Manage and submit environmental and safety reports Provide continuous improvement to existing environmental systems and procedures while providing leadership to improve all aspects of EHS Have basic knowledge of OSHA requirements Oversee the development, implementation, and upkeep of environmental reduction processes and procedures to ensure sites continue to stay within compliance with regulatory standards. Conduct onsite inspection to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards in the plants Lead ongoing improvements to current environmental systems and procedures, while driving initiatives to improve all of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). Annual Environmental filing Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, or a related discipline Minimum 4 years of environmental/ Safety experience within the industrial environment Strong knowledge of ISO14001 management systems. TCEQ, and the EPA knowledge Waste Management experience Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience
