Certification Details ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required BLS - Basic Life Support required PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring information available State License Verification and NURSYS Verification required Job Details PCU/MS/ED Hold-Float Pool This position will be hospital float pool staff and will be expected to float throughout the hospital. Nurses in this role will be caring for post surgical, medical, PCU stepdown on IP units and ER as hold patients. Competencies for these services as well as critical drips will be expected. Ratios are 1:4-1:6 depending on patient acuity. Vent management, intensive/critical care and ED experience PREFERRED so RN can be utilized fully as a float pool staff member Job Requirements MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit doesn't accept first time travelers PATIENT POPULATION: Adults to Geriatrics RATIO: 1:4-1/6 UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC & SBAR Must have experience: Cardiac drips, TR band removal and Bipap usage Schedule Information 8 Week Holiday Incentive for 36 or 48hrs options Available to work Christmas Eve (12/24), Christmas Day (12/25), New Year's Eve (12/31), and New Year’s Day (1/1) WEEKENDS: Every Other FLOATING: Within facility and to sister campus if needed Unit Specific Information UNIT DESCRIPTION: Hospital float pool staff expected to float throughout the hospital, caring for various patient populations.
