Job Requirements Stepdown or progressive care experience Telemetry experience Experience with titratable or cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutrex, insulin drip, heparin, bumex/Lasix, etc. Schedule Information Day Shift - 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/4 PCTs/1 Unit Secretary Night Shift - 1 Charge Nurse/10 staff/bedside nurses/3 PCTs Patient Ratios - 1:4; stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio Every other weekend rotation Unit Specific Information Best personality Fit: Flexible, positive attitude, great team player, compassionate Floating Area(s): All MedSurg units, Stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding. Unit Guidelines/Policies: Will be discussed during orientation List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Bedside Cardioversion Additional Details Number of Beds - 40 Type of patients: patients with CHF, MI, CP, arrhythmia, Pulmonary Hypertension; valvular disease, endocarditis; DKA; post cardiac cath/stent; post pacer/ICD/ ablation. Type of equipment: Zoll, Baxter pump, lift equipments, bladder scanner; EMR - Cerner Preferred skills include experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin), and relief charge experience.
