The Position Support standard manufacturing applications & processes in support of 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation. Improve reliability of process control systems to meet current & projected customer, business & regulatory requirements through the following activities: People focus, Equipment focus & Standards "Gatekeeper". Relationships Manager, Automation Engineering. Essential Functions Ensure production (shop floor) employees remain knowledgeable in MES applications Support continuous improvement initiatives Support maintenance & improvements to MES & related systems Demonstrate awareness of systematic problem-solving in everyday life Schedule & execute plans in coordination with operations schedules Maintain understanding of site MES & related systems as changes & upgrades occur Adhere to the automation standards & implement the necessary changes to the automation-related specifications & maintenance plans Supports MES Engineers Assist in coaching & training colleagues & stakeholders Operate in compliance with a quality first mindset Implement process changes, as assigned by manager Investigate process deviations, as assigned by manager Work closely with operations to identify process gaps & focus on continuous improvement Support corporate, IFP, local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projects Other accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements May move equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May required corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. May require the ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protections. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related field, or an equivalent combination of education & experience required Minimum two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience preferred Knowledgeable in the following technologies: PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian, general controls required Knowledgeable in Six Sigma/cLean methodologies & use of systematic problem-solving tools preferred Organization/Planning: Knowledge in planning/organization, follow-up & completion a plus We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
