The Division is now recruiting a full time EP cardiologist, on the academic clinical scholar track, in its dynamic electrophysiology section. The candidate will work closely with Cardiovascular Division and Electrophysiology Section leadership to support and expand the University's clinical and academic missions. While the position will be dedicated to both clinical and academic efforts, the position will have a clinical focus. Clinical efforts will include electrophysiology lab interventions, hospital service, and clinics. The Electrophysiology Fellowship Program Director may be considered as part of this role depending on experience and interest. Qualifications Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree and have demonstrated high-level qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Internal Medicine board certified or board eligible status, Cardiology Board certified or board eligible, and a Minnesota medical license is required. Required areas of expertise include general clinical cardiology, advanced training and expertise in electrophysiology evaluation and patient care management, as well as proven knowledge and success in research publication and mentorship. Attainment of externally funded grant submissions, experience in large clinical research trials, and experience in supporting post graduate fellowship training are highly desirable. Evidence of prior leadership in clinical program development; and ideally have demonstrated national EP leadership and/or service is also preferred. Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA category while in the United States.
