Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist Job Description The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials in and out of the warehouse. The role involves tracking and reporting inventory movements, conducting regular stock counts, and coordinating with the procurement and sales teams to ensure optimal inventory levels of tile and surface materials. The specialist plays a key role in minimizing inventory discrepancies and contributing to the efficient operation of the warehouse. Responsibilities Inventory Management: Oversee daily inventory transactions, ensuring all goods are accurately received, stored, and shipped. Monitor stock levels of tile and surface products to ensure availability for sales and production requirements. Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy. Report discrepancies or inventory shrinkage to management and recommend corrective actions. Data Entry and Record Keeping: Update and maintain inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system. Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are properly documented and recorded. Generate and analyze inventory reports to assist with forecasting and demand planning. Order Fulfillment Support: Work closely with the sales team to prioritize and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner. Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of tiles and surfaces for shipment. Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery of inventory. Inventory Optimization: Analyze inventory trends to help forecast and maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding overstock or stockouts. Recommend and implement improvements to streamline inventory processes and reduce waste. Quality Control: Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for quality, ensuring tiles and surfaces meet required specifications. Report any damaged goods or discrepancies to suppliers and coordinate returns or replacements. Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with warehouse staff, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient stock flow. Provide support to the warehouse manager in resolving inventory-related issues or concerns.
