About the Job: We are looking for an experienced Leader as Director of Logistics to join the Horizon Organic Dairy LLC team with the focus of overseeing the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and materials for the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring that products are delivered to customers on time and in excellent condition. The Director of Logistics will also manage the logistics team and work with other departments to develop strategies that improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Broomfield, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for: Develop and implement logistics strategies that optimize the supply chain, minimize costs, and maximize customer satisfaction. Strategic oversight over DC selection and Distribution Network Optimization, Carrier, and Transportation Management System strategies. Manage the logistics team and provide leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure that all logistics operations are efficient and effective. Monitor utilization levels and coordinate with planning teams to ensure available capacity exists to support business needs. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure that logistics operations are seamless and efficient. Develop and implement processes to track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, transportation costs, and inventory levels. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements related to logistics operations. Manage the budget for logistics operations, including forecasting, cost analysis, and cost reduction initiatives. Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, production, and purchasing, to develop and implement integrated supply chain solutions. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management. The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 - $170,000 commensurate with experience. About You: Professional Experience/Education needed: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or relevant work experience; a Master's degree is preferred. At least 8-10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful logistics strategies. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with and experience implementing logistics software and tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and safety requirements related to logistics operations. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with suppliers, carriers, and customers. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proven ability to establish, optimize and maintain world-class logistics system and team. Prior experience using structured and data driven problem-solving techniques (RCPS, DMAIC, Six-sigma, LEAN, etc.). Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The ability to influence others and be a team player. The ability to develop/implement core work practices and standards that ensure excellence. The ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and quickly resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity. The ability to multitask and manage priorities while allocating time to long-term, continuous improvement projects. Strong “self-management” skills and be comfortable working with minimal supervision. Established project management skills. Must bring leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required to interact with various levels of plant and corporate personnel and influence others. Will work in an office environment but may be required to visit warehouse and distribution facilities as needed.
