Painter

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following: Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior / exterior surfaces, trimmings and building fixtures / structures. Paint, patch and repair all walls and coated surfaces in the building. Order all materials and equipment. Submit bids regarding any building damage by clients for restitution. Stencil and paint building equipment. Periodically perform Field Crew tasks as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding. Paint and remove paint as needed. Construct and install temporary signage to meet client needs. Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and motorized aerial work platforms. Operate mechanized equipment when required to perform tasks listed above. Report all matters that affect work projects to the Lead Painter/Carpenter or Management. Participate in safety training and serve on the building Safety Committee as assigned. Perform special projects as assigned by management. Work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
