Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR BLACK OUT DATES FOR HOLIDAY RTO: 12/20/2024 - 01/05/2025; HARD STOP, NO EXCEPTIONS REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Experience Traveler Experience: Unit Will Accept 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience & Arterial Line Management Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH JOB DETAILS: RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring) SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Comprehensive Stroke Center SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun. UNIT SYSTEMS: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Per the Unit Needs BLACK OUT DATES FOR HOLIDAY RTO: 12/20/2024 - 01/05/2025; HARD STOP, NO EXCEPTIONS UNIT ORIENTATION: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights SCRUBS: Navy blue & White.
