As the Account Executive, you will be responsible for executing Bella Tunno’s overall sales strategy with existing and new major accounts in, but not limited to, the department store, mass market, pharma, grocery, and vertical retail channels. You will make an impact as a key player on our small and dynamic team by identifying opportunities that support business objectives, profit margins, and inventory goals, and by nurturing meaningful customer relationships, achieving sales targets with strong business acumen and analytics, and tenaciously managing all sales orders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver Sales Goals Ensure sales and profit goals are met for sustainable growth and monitor business for areas of improvement. Review actual sales and projections weekly reporting to internal teams to keep current with progress toward goals, identifying opportunities and risks, and delivering suggestions for offset. Forecast shipments/ receipt projections with the account buying team and share to supervisor and planner monthly. Deliver regular updates on the competitive marketplace. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of contact. Manage all communication independently within the job scope and gain support as needed for timely action in meeting customer needs with a solutions-based mindset and urgency. Plan assortments by account along with the Managing Director and internal cross-functional partners, leveraging data, existing development, and incorporating future product plans. Prepare and support presentation of products to customers. Analyze business performance and sales trends on a weekly/monthly basis to determine if any adjustments to sales plans are needed. Own and maintain forward-looking customer sales plans and budgets. Partner with cross-functional teams including merchandising, planning, finance, operations, and customer service to meet account needs and requests. Oversee and manage item setups, eCommerce needs, and in-store branding requirements. Coordinate meetings, appointments, samples, and travel arrangements. Make visits to customer regions/stores to maintain an intimate knowledge of product performance and competitive landscape. Inventory/Sales Order Management Directly responsible for proper account setup and sharing specific guidelines with internal partners. Accountable for uploading customer sales orders, ensuring accurate receipt, timely processing, and that any special requirements are being met within account guidelines. Partner closely with the supply chain organization to ensure on-time shipment of all open orders. Monthly review of customer reports and open-to-buy (OTB) plans/inventory levels to ensure healthy levels of stock. Directly responsible for monitoring each account’s specific guidelines within portals to ensure compliance and mitigate chargebacks. Review/ reconcile chargebacks with finance partners. Sales Reporting and Data Management Collect weekly sales and competitive information on Monday morning. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions. Support weekly/monthly business performance recaps in partnership with the Managing Director and suggesting forward action to ensure sustained growth. Accountable for account data entry and ensuring data integrity. Team Collaboration and Communication Build strong cross-functional relationships to support customer needs. Model the way by leading with a shared vision, trust, collaboration, and a commitment to do whatever it takes. Communicate clearly and follow up promptly. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Business Acumen: Demonstrated strong retail math and planning skills. Analytical Skills: Proven proficiency in analyzing complex datasets and generating actionable insights using Microsoft Excel. Customer Engagement: Proven ability to influence decisions and negotiate effectively with clients; proactive in identifying new sales opportunities. Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; capable of presenting complex ideas to varied audiences and building strong relationships. Adaptability and Collaboration: Effective team player with a positive attitude and willingness to stretch beyond job requirements as needed; adaptable to changing environments and timelines. Proven ability to operate successfully in an entrepreneurial environment. Organization and Problem-Solving: Demonstrated organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities; systems-oriented and detail-focused. Technical Proficiency: Proven high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems and account data portals. Initiative: Self-motivated and driven to exceed sales goals using creative problem-solving skills. Education: Degree in business administration, marketing, or related field preferred. Experience: Experience: 3 years in wholesale sales managing customer accounts with a proven track record for business ownership and growth. Retail/wholesale industry knowledge preferred. Prior buying experience is a plus. Apparel/Accessories/Baby and/or CPG industry experience is a plus. Strong understanding and execution of retail math, encompassing sell-throughs, account plans, open-to-buy reading, and identification of sell trends. High proficiency of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint. Some travel required to customer accounts / regions. Salary : Based on experience.
