Paint Technician

As a Paint Technician you will be refinishing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership quality specifications and time standards.Operate and use all body shop equipment properly and safelyRemove rust from metal, grease and dirt from work surfacesPrepare surfaces for new paint application using manual and power sanding toolsMix paint to match manufacturer's color specificationsPaint surface using sprayer or brush as appropriateMaintain tools and keep equipment clean and in safe working orderMaintain and wear all safety and protective wearComply with laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materialsCooperate and assist with other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehiclesJob Requirements1 years experience as a painter for a dealership or other collision body shopMust have waterborne paint experienceAbility to read and comprehend instructions and informationGeneral mechanical skillsGood eye for detail and colorMust be self-motivated and dependableMust be authorized to work in the United StatesAll other duties as assigned
