Certification Details BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS CA License Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced SICU/CVICU nurse for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 3 full years of experience, experience with open hearts. Job Requirements 3 full years of experience Experience with open hearts Experience recovering fresh hearts directly from the OR within the last 6 months Schedule Information Contract length: 13 weeks Shifts: 12 hours, 7 am - 7:30 pm Every other weekend 2 out of 3 major holidays, others as needed & would fall into perm staff rotation Time off requests to be requested prior to contract, requests after assignment starts will need to be approved by manager when making the schedule Block scheduling is not guaranteed, but may be allowed if it works with the schedule Floating may occur to other ICUs or to ER for inpatient ICU holds Unit Specific Information 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 patient ratios Charge Nurse available 24/7 Must have general medical & surgical ICU experience in addition to CVICU experience Common diagnosis/Types of patients: TAVR, Impella, IABP, Lumbar drains, Swanz, manual hemo experience preferred.
