The Wholesale Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth within the children's apparel market by proactively acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing accounts. This individual will strategically identify and pursue high-value business opportunities, develop tailored sales strategies, and effectively communicate the unique value of our products to meet client needs. Success in this role will be measured by achieving aggressive sales targets, consistently exceeding revenue goals, and providing in-depth market insights through detailed reporting. Key Responsibilities : Sales Growth & Prospecting: New Business Acquisition : Identify, prospect, and secure new wholesale accounts in the children’s apparel market, targeting key retailers, distributors, and regional partners. Strategic Sales Planning : Develop and implement customized sales strategies for each account, focusing on revenue generation, upselling, and cross-selling opportunities. Client Outreach & Relationship Building : Proactively build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing wholesale accounts. Utilize existing industry connections to accelerate sales and build trust. Negotiation & Closing : Use advanced negotiation techniques to close deals, increase average order size, and drive profitability. Client Relationship & Account Management: Account Retention : Manage and nurture relationships with current wholesale clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and brand loyalty. Revenue Maximization : Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and increasing market share within existing accounts. Monitor performance and adjust strategies to meet sales targets. Client Support : Provide exceptional service to key accounts, ensuring timely order processing, proactive issue resolution, and product availability. Sales Operations & Trade Show Representation: Sales & Order Management : Schedule and conduct meetings with potential and existing clients, ensuring all orders are processed smoothly, and inventory is maintained appropriately to meet demand. Travel & Trade Shows : Travel to industry trade shows (20-25% annually) and regional markets to prospect, present, and close business. Be prepared to work weekends for trade show events. Client Visits : Conduct quarterly visits to local accounts or travel as needed to nurture relationships and drive sales growth. Marketing & Campaign Collaboration: Targeted Campaigns : Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create promotional materials, campaigns, and product bundles that align with the unique needs of wholesale clients. Brand Positioning : Ensure the brand’s value proposition and marketing strategies resonate with retail clients in the children’s apparel market. Order & Compliance Management: Order Review : Oversee and review all orders before processing to ensure accuracy, proper stock levels, and timely fulfillment. Compliance : Ensure all accounts adhere to MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policies, retailer guidelines, and other contractual agreements. Actionable Insights : Leverage CRM tools and sales data to track account performance, measure success, and identify gaps in sales coverage or product offerings. Key Requirements : Sales Expertise : Proven experience in wholesale sales, particularly in the children's apparel sector, with a strong track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets. Industry Connections : Established network within the children’s apparel market and key retail channels. Strong Negotiation & Closing Skills : Ability to close deals, drive revenue, and build lasting client relationships. Experience in Technology and Digital Transformation : Familiarity with digital transformation tools, such as Shopify and the ability to innovate business processes through technology are beneficial for roles in digital wholesale Reporting & Data-Driven : Expertise in sales forecasting, target tracking, and reporting to senior leadership. Marketing Experience : Ability to work with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials that align with client needs. Travel Flexibility : Willingness to travel for trade shows, client visits, and industry events (up to 25% annually).
