WHO DO WE WANT The Senior Demand Planner will support the DTC, Wholesale and Amazon channels and report directly to the Director of Planning. This amazing person will own the planning of one or more departments with the goal of maximizing sales & profit and optimizing inventory levels for the company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Create and manage Pre-Season and In-Season merchandise plans. Analyze key selling metrics within style, sizing, print, color and other key attributes to understand brand performance and to identify opportunities and risks used to inform sales and inventory/replenishment forecasts. Use sales and sku productivity hindsights to create ATS inventory and buy targets that support turn and product lifecycle goals. Own sku-level replenishment plans and create regular buys based on sales trends and company strategies. Own promotional and markdown process for areas of responsibility. Determine sell-down strategies and pricing messages that will result in best combination of sales, margin, and inventory ownership. Optimize inventory efficiencyassess transfer needs and quantify opportunities between channels (retail, wholesale, Amazon) to maximize revenue and profitability. Partner with management, Buying/Merchandising, and Amazon and Wholesale teams to propose strategies and tactical needs aligning with business goals. Create financial models, reports & recaps as needed to aid cross-functional team discussions. EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS Senior Planner with 7 years of planning experience within a branded, ecommerce DTC environment. Experience must include apparel/ accessories. High-end preferred. Experience with Amazon and Wholesale planning highly preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to influence and communicate with personnel at all levels of the organization including senior management. Strategic thinker with ability to look at the business from both a tops-down view as well as from lower levels. Creative problem solver/ “outside the box” thinker with a strong sense of curiosity. Results-oriented self-starter with a hands-on and entrepreneurial attitude. Proven track record of achieving financial objectives working in a fast-paced environment. Proven strong analytical acumen. Ability to identify and resolve business performance issues specifically within forecasting and planning models. Systems and Data: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookup, index match, pivot tables, sumifs, xlookup) Tableau experience is beneficial but not required. ERP systems Comfortable working with large sets of data in order to come to actionable conclusions.
