Director of Business Development (Freight Forwarding) About the Company: We are a dynamic and fast-growing logistics company specializing in comprehensive freight forwarding solutions. About the Role: This pivotal role will focus on expanding the company's footprint on the West Coast, driving new business opportunities, and enhancing existing client partnerships. Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth in ocean and air freight, import/export, and customs brokerage services. Identify and secure new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tailor logistics solutions that meet client needs. Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide clients with cutting-edge solutions. Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the business. Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industries. Strong knowledge of ocean freight, air freight, customs brokerage, and import/export services. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a client-centric mindset. A well-established network in western states of the USA logistics and transportation sector. Proven success in driving revenue growth and developing long-term client partnerships. Willingness to travel up to 50% Location: This role is based remotely in LA, California, with flexibility for remote working.
