Job Description: Support programming, debugging, and troubleshooting of Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems such as Fairmount Automation, Allen Bradley, VME Based, Siemens, Red Lion and other commercial PLCs; and other Fluid Systems Control components that will require the use of Java, C , C#, etc to implement requirements, fix issues, and/or implementation of cybersecurity software updates. Evaluate the feasibility of developing a modeling system for HM&E Systems Assist in evaluating, testing, and optimizing controls of mechanical, electrical, control and monitoring systems Develop concept designs of control or monitoring system applications based on customer input and/or requirements which will operate in specific marine environments Provide development, security, and operations support for shipboard and land based auxiliary and fluid control systems. This shall include designing and developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems, employing best practices when implementing security controls within an auxiliary and fluid control system including software engineering methodologies, system/security engineering principles, secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques Required Skills and/or Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in software development, must include minimum of five (5) years developing software for Industrial or Naval Control Systems. Software development experience shall include: Microsoft.net framework, Microsoft Visual Studio, C or C#, Linux, and Platform Independent Machinery Control System (PIMCS) development tools. Programmable Logic Controller experience shall include Rockwell Automation Software Suite, Siemens Simatic Suite, ladder logic, and function block diagram programming. Additional experience shall include writing, reviewing, and maintaining new or existing software requirements and software design technical documentation. A secret security clearance. Degree Requirements: Target Education: Master's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science or a related degree. Must be a US Citizen
