Job Description: Provide engineering and technical support regarding the design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of propulsion, electrical, mechanical, auxiliary, fluid and information systems Provide engineering and technical support to test sites. Typical duties include designing new lab layouts/alternatives, conducting testing and recording data, developing test procedures and assisting with lab hardware installation. Support design and assembly of control system (interfaces or components) including Input/Output Enclosures, HMI assemblies, and test stands for use in Land Based Test Facilities or for shipboard installations. Prepare formal technical presentations and documentation including review, editing, and formatting support. Assist with the development, preparation, assessment, and conduct or monitoring of proposed test procedures on U.S. Navy propulsion, electrical, mechanical, auxiliary control systems. Provide engineering and technical support to test sites, including the auxiliary machinery and fluid controls systems laboratory, including new lab layouts and design alternatives, equipment/system recommendations, conducting testing for equipment/systems recording data, and assistance with developing test reports. Support technical reviews of in-process alterations and upgrades to HM&E systems reviews shall focus on conformity to approved designs to ensure consistency and quality of work. Support shipboard troubleshooting and onsite support to resolve issues as requested and support ongoing waterfront maintenance activities regarding HM&E systems Required Skills and/or Experience: Target Experience: Five (5) years of Naval technical experience in Control Systems and Solutions including: Machinery; Auxiliary; Electrical; input/output devices; sensors and instrumentation. Working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Naval Shipyard, Regional Maintenance centers and Type Commander's Organizations Degree Requirements: Target Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university or MS degree from an accredited college or university in a Engineering in any other degree. Must be a US Citizen A secret security clearance
