Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), Code 24 is responsible for program management, engineering, technical, and logistics support for HM&E systems and equipment on U.S. Navy Submarines.

Job Description:

Provide engineering support to HM& E systems which includes evaluate/interpret data from Fleet, provide engineering support for submarine systems, offer shipboard troubleshooting and maintenance support, propose and implement system improvements, assist in developing testing procedures, analyze data to identify technical and cost trends, review and update training materials, develop and analyze metrics for engineering programs, track and manage HM&E commitments, and provide on-site technical support for submarine forces in Norfolk, VA and Pearl Harbor, HI. Assist NSWCPD with issuing Fleet-messages, ISEA Advisories, and technical notices to the Fleet and other agencies to disseminate vital information. Provide engineering and technical support regarding the design, repair, qualification, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of U.S. Navy submarine propulsion, electrical, mechanical, auxiliary and information systems. Assist NSWCPD with the development, preparation, assessment, and conduct or monitoring of proposed test procedures on U.S. Navy submarine propulsion, electrical, mechanical and information systems. Analyze CASREPs, Maintenance and Material Management (3M), Detailed Feasibility Studies and other data to identify unfavorable technical and/or reliability trends. Conduct technical reviews of in-process alterations and upgrades to HM& E systems on submarines and tenders. Minimum Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or Maritime Academy. Target Experience:

Five (5) years of experience with U.S. Navy systems, including mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of Submarine equipment or systems. Must be a U.S. citizen A secret security clearance
