Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/09/2024 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Key Requirements Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Skills: PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Use of Rapid Response Teams Blood Product Administration Central and Peripheral Line Care/Management Manage Cardiac and Vasoactive drips without titration Preferred Skills: Telemetry Titrate Cardiac and Vasoactive drips Nasal Cannula and Non-invasive airway management Isolation Precautions Job Details Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 Shift: Night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week (no OT billed until after 48 hours) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Float Requirement: May float to ED-IP, medical, surgical, or cardiac floors, and ICU for PCU appropriate assignments Weekend Requirement: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period Special Procedures: Stepdown experience required, ICU experience preferred Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR Scheduling Type: Self scheduling Orientation: 40 hours Scrubs: Navy and White Additional Information Contract staff will be part of the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events or disasters. Holiday coverage is also required. Candidates must pass EKG Testing prior to start and have ventilator experience with competence in managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips.
