Position Summary Responsible to assist the Parts Department Supervisor in tracking all parts in accordance with the repair station RSM/QCM. This includes ordering, receiving, shipping, tracking, and storage of all parts. Additionally, the parts clerk is responsible for creating and tracking maintenance department workorders & invoicing. Often required to visit vendors and distributors to collect parts and tools. Duties/Responsibilities Comply with the requirements of United Aviate RSM/QCM and FAA Part 145 Regulations as they apply to the operation Process parts requested by Technicians in a timely manner Issue, receive, and deliver parts, tool, and general stock thru computer base programs Ordering, receiving, shipping, and tracking parts Process sales orders Assist with inventory control Process repairable parts for in house repairs, vendor repair, warranty items, and core returns Tool control and issuing specialty tools, and tool boxes Communicate with vendors regarding order status Good time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently at times Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience 6 months experience in a parts related job Ability to read and interpret work orders Ability to read and understand parts catalogs Valid Arizona driver’s license Education High School Diploma/GED Essential Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors Maintain a professional appearance and interaction with customers Computer skills and general software knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Problem-solving aptitude Highly organized with attention to detail Must have exceptional written and oral communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people Must have good people, team building, and problem-solving skills Good computer skills Ability to successfully work with others as part of a team to achieve established goals Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and within a team setting Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, valuing safety, and adhering to company policies Commitment to the company culture as a subsidiary of United Airlines and valuing the Core4 Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Services are in a customer service environment, which requires the ability to multitask. Mental concentration is required to prevent errors during receiving inspections. Physical demands consist of strenuous positions required to reach desired areas needing repaired. Ability to stand throughout longs periods of times while using a wide variety of heavy tools needed to repair aircraft parts. Ability to lift aircraft tools, parts, and equipment varying from 10lbs – 70lbs or ability to use tools that can lift more when needed. Work environment consists of a large maintenance hangar that can become consistent with outside temperatures. Aircraft maintenance hangar may also experience loud noises throughout the day.
