Job Description
Aircraft Parts/Inventory Control Clerks offer a tremendous amount of value to FLT Academy and their full-time maintenance staff. The Parts Clerk constitutes a very important link in the supply chain between FLT Academy Maintenance and our suppliers and vendors. FLT Academy utilizes parts clerks to build and foster relationships with suppliers and vendors, digitally track and maintain parts inventories, research part numbers and issue parts orders as requested by maintainers and conduct monthly and quarterly audits on inventory and parts expenses.
Duties
Duties of a Parts Clerk include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily control of parts inventory Monitor minimum parts inventory Research part numbers for ordering accuracy Reorder items that are considered consumable and that FLT maintains a continuous inventory of Track and order items requested by aircraft mechanics Inventory parts into FLT Academy's inventory system, and remove and issue them from inventory as required Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance File warranty cards, as necessary Conduct bi-annual physical inventory count Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required 1-year aircraft illustrated parts manual experience High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word and Excel and Access Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks by levels of importance and urgency Strong focus on customer service, support the FLT Academy network of bases, and maintenance department Willingness to 'dig in', recommend, plan, and execute initiatives Shipping and receiving experience Inventory stocking/tracking experience Administration of warrant parts, cores, other administrative tasks Regular attendance and punctuality is required Physical requirements include climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, working on your feet for many hours per day. As part of the maintenance team, you may be required to occasionally work after hours and weekends Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to an automobile in good repair Preferences
1-year aircraft parts experience preferred Aircraft purchasing experience preferred Experience in working with and leading diverse teams is preferred
