The Construction Safety Director leads the safety function for the entire company across all our locations. They will conduct regular safety audits and inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. They will ensure a safe workplace both on the job site and in the office. Key Duties & Responsibilities Plans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT). Executes health and safety plans on jobsites and train employees on safety policies to encourage a culture of health and safety Update training certifications Assist in preparing and reviewing job-specific safety plans and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Performs safety audits and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures Delivers corrective action & disciplinary measures with employees who fail to comply with expected safety standards Coordinate and conduct worksite inspections, assessments, surveys and program evaluations to identify potential hazards and for compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations and contract requirements Collaborate with superintendents, project managers, and GCs on investigations of incidents and document properly. Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident. Supervise direct report(s) Qualifications OSHA 10 & 30 certifications CSP certification Bachelor’s degree Valid driver’s license Familiar with DOSH, ANSI, NFPA, EPA regulations 5-10 years of construction safety experience Work Environment & Physical Demands Drive for extended periods of time to various job sites across the state Able to climb ladder and scaffolding Able to traverse uneven ground Able to lift 50lbs Perform a great deal of reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, crawling, turning & twisting (180 degrees) Perform considerable climbing, lifting, carrying Able to walk, sit, stand and bend Able to use hand to finger, reach with hands and arms, handle of feel objects or tools, be able to climb ladders and forms Able to talk, listen, hear and see Work in weather conditions common to this area including heat, cold, rain and snow May work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time, perform sustained manual activities at low to moderate levels of exertion Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid holidays and paid time off, 401K with company match and ESOP.
