Job Summary: Provide technical support to the Americas & Global sales teams regarding customer needs and the general NBD effort. Implement plans and procedures to proactively technical support the customer base as well as the new business development effort. Manage all technical issues regarding products and lead product development effort. Take ownership of all technical data contained in sales literature (e.g., TDS, sales brochures, & advertising, specs reported on CoA’s) as well as any/all additional information provided to prospects or customers. Responsibilities: Administer (review, screen, approve shipment) all product sample activity and follow-up with sample recipients as deemed necessary. Coordinate and assist with preparation and presentation of regulatory information provided within technical literature and/or technical reports. Manage technical staff and coordinate/act as intermediary for all external communication from production/operations and regulatory groups. Vet & express opinion regarding feasibility, status, and value of product development activities; administer/update project status in the Product Development Tracking website. Conduct on-site as well as laboratory testing as deemed necessary to support customers and the general business development effort. Develop service plans for strategic customers as well as the technical component of new business development plants. Management of field laboratory and chemical feed equipment and generation of substation for purchase of additional equipment and supplies. Add and/or update modules to the DyStar University on-line training website as deemed necessary. Respond to customer technical inquiries and coordinate, if needed, response from the sales representatives. Vet all technical data reported on TDS & SDS and own the format and content of all technical literature. Upgrade format and content of TDS. Provide reference documents and other training as deemed necessary for the sales teams. Conduct plant surveys as deemed necessary to support customers and the general business development effort Requirements: 5 Years of proven job experience working in chemical manufacturing environment Proven leadership skills and 2-5 years of management experience 2-5 years field experience Proven capability regarding the use of MS Office software, as well as business software (e.g. SAP) commensurate with the position. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field Technical understanding of chemistry and/or chemical properties as it relates to customer’s needs and current business portfolio. Demonstrated ability to communicate externally with respect to casual as well as format technical reporting. Proven skills to address defined problems and to clarify/focus and then address underlying or undefined problems
