Job Description Summary: Faegre Drinker, a top international law firm, is searching for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to contribute to our dynamic Real Estate practice group in our Florham Park office. Come work with our experienced corporate real estate lawyers who represent corporations, large and small developers, investors, retailers, financial and other institutional lenders in all types of commercial real estate legal issues. Job Description: What you would do: Support attorneys with general real estate tasks and corporate transaction management. Conduct UCC and lien searches. Draft and file UCCs. Liaise with third parties, such as title companies, secretary of state offices, vendors, etc. Conduct research in various jurisdictions for attorney review, such as on rules and regulations, statutes regarding deed preparation and filing requirements, title history, etc. Handle state filings and county recordings of deeds, mortgages and other documents in various jurisdictions both by mail and e-recording. Prepare for and coordinate deal closings including, obtaining due diligence, drafting documents, updating closing checklists, maintaining documents, tracking status updates, arranging logistics, coordinating signature pages from various parties, prepare closing binders/set, and following up on pre- and post-closing items. Other duties as assigned. What is expected: Strong organizational and project management skills. Detail oriented. High level of ownership and commitment. Willing to work overtime if needed. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in an in-personal and virtual environment. Ability to manage workflow and work under tight deadlines and other time constraints with competing and shifting priorities. Knowledge and commitment of the utilization of technology, such as Docusign and Simlifile helpful. Knowledge of title and survey helpful. Strong sense of urgency and professional dedication. Ability to bill 1550 hours, annually, to meet the firm's billing expectations for paralegals. What we offer: Hybrid work arrangement. What is required: A paralegal certificate or 4-year college degree preferred. 3 years of previous commercial real estate or transactional experience highly preferred. Experience closing complex transactions in NJ - required and NY/PA- helpful, including experience with ACRIS, recording instruments, title and survey reviews, transfer tax and bulk sales filings.
