It Project Manager

Work Location: This position is Hybrid Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee a complex modernization project requiring advanced change management, vendor management, and experience with Microsoft DevOps. This role will focus on project planning, resource coordination, and execution while ensuring effective communication and seamless integration across teams. Responsibilities : • Design, plan, and coordinate cross-functional work teams to meet project objectives, following PMI's framework and industry standards. • Develop a project charter, create a work plan, and track budget and schedule metrics to ensure project goals are met. • Establish project organization, define roles, and assign tasks to build an effective project team; evaluate and report on outcomes. • Create and implement a project communication plan and manage scope, risks, and mitigation strategies. • Coordinate with stakeholders and sponsors to resolve issues and remove barriers, providing technical support as needed. • Manage multiple applications and systems analysts; provide guidance in application design and implementation. • Maintain project schedules, task lists, and performance metrics; ensure team adherence to timelines and budget. • Direct corrective actions as necessary, ensuring that quality and productivity objectives are met. • Report project status to upper management, summarizing progress, issues, and achievements Required Skills: • 10 years of project management experience, with the most recent position as a project manager. • 5 years of experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $5 million. • Proven experience in Agile leadership, including implementing Agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams. • Proficiency with Microsoft DevOps for managing and coordinating project tasks. • Experience collaborating with other project managers to ensure technology integration across systems. • Self-directed, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Local to Lansing, Michigan area • Preferred: Previous experience with SOM projects.
