Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work and a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical systems of our site meet the highest safety standards and are installed to code. Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities: Performs scheduled, preventive, and emergency maintenance on all facility electrical systems, including motors, drives, panels, and switchgear Troubleshoots electrical problems, diagnose malfunctions, and repair or replace defective parts Uses technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals to perform efficient diagnostics Installs and upgrade electrical systems and components, including wiring, conduit, motor controls, PLCs, and HMIs Commissions new electrical systems and equipment by calibrating and setting up control systems and verifying proper operation Follows all OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company-specific electrical and safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash safety practices Conducts electrical system testing and preventive maintenance to maintain compliance with NFPA and regulatory standards Documents all electrical work performed, including updates to drawings, maintenance records, and work orders Utilizes multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot equipment, circuits, and electrical controls Diagnoses and repair control systems, VFDs, relay logic, and instrumentation Identifies and recommend improvements in processes, materials, and equipment to enhance reliability and safety Participates in root cause analysis for recurring issues, using findings to preventfuture equipment failures Leads small electrical projects, including providing quoted material cost, procuring materials, and amount of labor to do the work Maintains accurate and detailed maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent Reports any hazards, near misses, or incidents to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly Reviews all capital projects with an electrical scope Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Performs all required observations and training timely and as scheduled Follows National Electrical Code state and local building regulations Performs other duties as assigned Compliance: Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangements Reports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents and near misses promptly Acts in a safe and responsible manner at all times Problem Solving and Innovation: Active participation in continuous improvement activities Participates in problem-solving Takes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the business Assists in the training, mentoring, and assessment of other team members Exercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High School diploma or equivalent is required State Licensed Journeyman or 2-4 year electrical degree from a technical school in a related field is required Five (5) years electrical experience in industry or manufacturing Strong understanding and comply with safety practices, specifically LOTO, hot work and confined space entry Ability to understand calculations Willingness to learn how the instrumentation works withing the chemical process Ability to climb ladders and stairs as well as wear a fall protection harness to reach some instrumentation Working at heights on top of tanks and driving vertical lifts (20-45') Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work in a team environment within a multi-functional, organizational structure Ability to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive, physical work such as lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds Proficiency with electrical diagnostics, including multimeters, ammeters, insulation resistance testers, and PLC programming basics Knowledge of electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E) and best practices Familiarity with various types of drives (VFDs), motors, control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation Must be proficient in troubleshooting using loop drawing, schematics, ladder logic, electrical one-line, and P&I drawings Proficient in maintaining process control loops, electronic controls, valves, and transmitters Able to work indoors/outdoors environment, standing and sitting, bending, lifting, twisting, crawling for extended periods Embodies the core values of Aurorium: credible: keeps their word and honors their commitments, acts with integrity, and holds themselves accountable to their decisions and actions outcome-oriented: adheres to an unparalleled standard of excellence in everything they do, to deliver results with real impact driven: passionate about delivering authentic, world-class experiences that engage customers and inspire greatness empowered accountability: empowered to achieve common goals and accountable for delivering performances and results that exceed standard.
