Various diagnosis requiring either medical intervention or surgical procedures, including medical tele patients. Overflow for winter census. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: General Surgery, Surgical procedures SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: none UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): Pyxis, EPIC (preferred) UNIT ORIENTATION: 36 hours Hospital Orientation week one; traveler must be available for classes each day. Schedule Information Target Ratios: 1:6-7 Shift: 12hr Nights (18:45-07:15) Fri-Mon schedule (may be required to work a week day holiday shift) 48 hours can be offered. No OT billed until after 48 hrs. Float Requirement: Floating as needed. May float to sister unit which has ER holding coverage.
