Job Title: General Cardiologist Job Specialty: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Job Duration: 1 year Shift: Day, 5x8, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Board Certification Eligible Certifications: - ACLS: Required Must-Have: - Specialty Skills in Internal Medicine - Cardiology - Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology - ICU experience - Non-invasive Cardiology - Echocardiography, TEE (Transesophageal Echo) - Nuclear Cardiology - STEMI management Job Description: - The facility is seeking to expand its provider pool by adding clinic time Monday through Friday while covering call. - Initial clinic coverage will start at 2 hours per day and increase as needed. - Onsite hospitalists will admit and bed patients, as well as consult on necessary patients. - The facility is chest pain accredited. - The locums provider will read all testing reports (EKGs, ECHOs, etc.) during onsite visits. - Patient encounters per shift are dependent on hospital census and follow-ups needed in the clinic. - The facility has 86 beds. - The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days. - Experience with Invasive Cardiology - diagnostic only is not required. - Placement of PA catheter, IABP, cardiac catheterization, heart biopsy, and interventions such as PTCA, intracoronary stent placement, or atherectomy are not required. - Electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablation, permanent pacemaker placement, and implantable cardioverter defibrillator installation are not required.
