Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Neurology in Georgia

A hospital clinic is seeking a neurologist for locum tenens coverage. Get in touch with nature while in North Georgia and visit one of the Georgia State Parks near Helen, which includes Smithgall Woods and Unicoi. This position requires notes to be documented in Cerner. The role involves a telestroke program with a focus on adult patients, and candidates should be board-certified with recent outpatient experience within the past 12 months. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to read continuous and regular EEGs. Coverage is needed starting in January for an initial six-month period, with the possibility of extension. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Support staff will be available. The credentialing process typically takes 60 days, but date-specific privileges may be granted to allow clinicians to start sooner if necessary.
