A hospital is seeking a neurohospitalist for locum tenens coverage. Get in touch with nature while in North Georgia and visit one of the Georgia State Parks near Helen, which include Smithgall Woods and Unicoi. This position requires notes to be documented in Cerner. The role involves inpatient neurology work, specifically as a neurohospitalist, focusing on adult patients. A minimum commitment of two weeks per month is required, though they prefer candidates who can cover full-time. Board certification is preferred, and the ideal candidate should have experience with continuous and regular EEGs, with a strong preference for those who are stroke or vascular trained. Coverage is needed starting in January for six months, with the option to extend. The schedule is Monday through Sunday, every week of the month, with shifts from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The provider will be responsible for new consults, stroke alerts, and rounding, although typically, one neurohospitalist covers the volume Monday through Friday. Credentialing takes 6090 days.
