Position Overview The Director of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) will lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive health, safety, and environmental program across our manufacturing operations. Overseeing multiple facilities, this role focuses on fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on leader passionate about promoting a safe and sustainable work environment. Key Responsibilities Program Development Design and continuously improve the company’s EHS programs. Drive strategic initiatives aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements. Regulatory Compliance Ensure all facilities meet local, state, and federal EHS regulations. Monitor regulatory changes and adapt company policies accordingly. Safety Culture Leadership Lead efforts to embed a proactive safety culture at all levels. Drive employee engagement through training, communication, and recognition. Risk Management Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. Establish systems for tracking incidents, near misses, and corrective actions. Multi-Site Oversight Partner with site leaders to adapt EHS programs to individual facility needs. Conduct audits and provide guidance for improvements. Training and Development Deliver training programs to educate employees and leaders on EHS practices. Develop site EHS coordinators to ensure ongoing program effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 8 years of EHS leadership in manufacturing or industrial settings. Success in building and scaling safety programs across multiple locations. Deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulations. Proven ability to lead cultural change and enhance employee safety engagement. Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.
