Location: 2439 Discovery Hills Parkway, Brookshire, TX 77423 Please note - we are NOT offering sponsorship or transfer of sponsorships Job Summary Statement: We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in a highly automated manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, streamline operations, and drive innovation in our solar panel manufacturing processes. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for optimization to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality and drive overall improvements. Lead initiatives to implement Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement strategies to drive safety, quality, productivity and cost savings. Assist in the installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and tools, ensuring they meet production requirements and safety standards. Work closely with Supply Chain management and suppliers to source materials, components, and equipment to support production schedules and cost targets. Develop and maintain capacity modeling of the manufacturing equipment to define manufacturing capacity. Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical specifications. Develop and generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting areas for improvement and tracking progress against goals. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering, to drive alignment and achieve shared objectives. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in highly automated environment, preferably in the solar panel industry or related renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge in Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools. Experience with CAD/CAM software for equipment design and layout optimization. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
