Job Summary Statement:


We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in a highly automated manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, streamline operations, and drive innovation in our solar panel manufacturing processes.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify opportunities for optimization to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality and drive overall improvements.
  • Lead initiatives to implement Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement strategies to drive safety, quality, productivity and cost savings.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment and tools, ensuring they meet production requirements and safety standards.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain management and suppliers to source materials, components, and equipment to support production schedules and cost targets.
  • Develop and maintain capacity modeling of the manufacturing equipment to define manufacturing capacity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Develop and generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting areas for improvement and tracking progress against goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering, to drive alignment and achieve shared objectives.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in highly automated environment, preferably in the solar panel industry or related renewable energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge in Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software for equipment design and layout optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
