Director, Health and Safety in Aurora, CO, Job 1764 This is a full-time position as an employee of our construction industry client and REQUIRES commuting to in the Aurora, CO area. What you will be doing: You will be responsible for the modification, implementation, management and overall direction and oversight of Health and Safety (H&S) programs, strategy, and staff activities for this 100/- person workforce You serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for H&S related matters. You will guide, coach, mentor and support your all employees on how to protect themselves, each other and company assets in the most productive and efficient manner. Minimum Requirements:Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, employer sponsorship is not available. Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety or related discipline plus five (5) or more years of Safety experience in a construction environment Demonstrated experience with construction occupational safety risks including, but not limited to, fall from heights, various equipment, vehicles, trailers, forklifts, etc.,. Demonstrated knowledge in development of Job Safety and Job Hazard analysis (JHA and JSA) Current OSHA 30 card Major Responsibilities:Partner with corporate and site leadership and serve as SME regarding interpretation of federal, state and local H&S regulations Lead employee training programs regarding Safe Working behaviors and compliance Manage and lead Safety committees Safety audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local Safety regulations The information listed above is not a complete job description.
