Engineering & Maintenance Technician (Direct Hire) Location: Beverly, MA Shift: M-F, daylight hours with some on-call as needed Pay: $90K - $120K annually, based on experience The Engineering Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing production equipment and fixtures, including automated cleanroom assembly systems. The position involves administering and executing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency. This hands-on role requires a proactive team player with strong technical and communication skills who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications: Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical, Controls, or Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, robotics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in PLC and robotic programming software, with a preference for Allen-Bradley/RSLogix experience. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs. Advanced computer skills, including experience with MS Office and maintenance management software. Familiarity with ISO, GMP, or similar regulated environments is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills. Knowledge of safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and machine guarding Responsibilities: Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime. Maintain and manage the spare parts inventory to support production needs. Identify opportunities to improve equipment and automation, focusing on reducing cycle times, waste, and labor while boosting efficiency. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automated equipment, including PLC programming and hardware such as motors, sensors, and control modules. Collaborate with external vendors to resolve equipment issues and support the installation of new systems. Participate in the specification, design review, factory acceptance testing, and installation of custom automated equipment.
