Reporting to the PMO Manager in Richmond, VA, the Agile Project Manager will lead and coordinate Agile-driven project initiatives to support custom-built applications for data exchange. Based in Richmond, VA, this role involves closely collaborating with leadership, clients, and internal teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery while meeting or exceeding project goals. Responsibilities include facilitating Agile processes, tracking multiple projects from conception to delivery, and continuously improving workflows to align with Scrum and Agile principles Your Role: Coordinate and drive Agile-focused projects with IT teams, including development, testing, implementation, and operations support. Act as a Scrum leader for internal projects, facilitating stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure Agile best practices are followed. Support product roadmaps by maintaining the backlog of improvements and defects, helping prioritize user stories, and ensuring readiness for sprints. Facilitate effective release management and sprint planning to align with project timelines. Collaborate with clients and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of health information exchange services and integrations. Communicate updates on deliverables and resolve blockers that could impact Agile workflows. Use Agile project management tools (such as Azure DevOps) to track project deliverables and monitor deadlines. Regularly update tracking systems to maintain accurate project statuses and ensure transparency with stakeholders. Create and share Agile-focused documentation, including sprint reports and release notes, to keep internal and external stakeholders informed. Proactively suggest and implement Agile process improvements to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on strategy, progress, and Agile adjustments. Act as a point of contact for the PMO in tracking project priorities and promoting alignment across teams using Agile tools and methodologies. Your Profile: 2 years of project coordination or project management experience in IT software projects, with a strong emphasis on Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Familiarity with Scrum and Kanban frameworks, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile ceremonies. Experience with tools like Azure DevOps or other Agile project management software is highly preferred. Proven experience working with software development teams to track tasks, remove roadblocks, and collaboratively resolve issues to maintain Agile workflows. Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to track, monitor, and assign responsibilities according to project objectives. Strong accountability for ensuring team members understand deliverables and stay on schedule. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey Agile project updates and priorities to all levels of the organization. Works well in a collaborative environment and independently as needed. Shows initiative in suggesting Agile process improvements and proactively implementing them for better project outcomes.
