Schedule: M-F, standard hours Starting Wage: $ 28.08/hr (experience pending) Job Summary: The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment in the facility. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, including motors and control systems, to ensure they operate efficiently. The technician will work closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot electrical issues, conduct routine inspections, and implement improvements while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Job Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, including motors, wiring, PLCs, and control systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions to minimize equipment downtime. Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve machinery performance. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, identifying potential failures and implementing corrective actions. Interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to diagnose and resolve equipment problems. Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities. Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment. Suggest recommended stock levels for electrical related components, ensuring critical spare parts are on hand. Train staff in the use of electrical equipment and potential hazards. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical maintenance or related field preferred. Proven experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to adhere to safety protocols. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory. Physical Requirements: Lifting: Able to lift to 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally with help. Standing/Walking: Comfortable standing or walking for 8-12 hours. Climbing: Can climb ladders and stairs. Bending/Kneeling: Able to bend or kneel for repairs. Reaching: Can reach overhead or across the body. Manual Dexterity: Good use of hands for tools and tasks. Vision: Able to see colors and read gauges. Hearing: Can hear alarms and communicate in noisy settings.
