Remote SharePoint Developer Experience level: Senior Industry: Finance Apex Systems has an opening for a SharePoint Developer to support one of our top Finance clients. The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for supporting the core infrastructure used by our clients, partners, and internal user communities. The SharePoint Developer will report to the Manager of Infrastructure and will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all corporate initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Configuring the company SharePoint systems to specified requirements. Developing new web components using XML, .NET, SQL, and C#. Designing, coding, and implementing scalable applications. Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies. Testing and debugging code. Reviewing website interface and software stability. Troubleshooting software issues. Maintaining and updating SharePoint applications. Providing systems training to staff and customers. Maintain servers and associated hardware, applications, services, and settings. Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up. Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades. Maintain Windows Server services such as: DNS, DHCP, ADDS, RODC, HTTP, SSL, S/FTP, VPN, SMTP Concentrates on system administration and monitoring of infrastructure, including system patching and hardening. Responsible to troubleshoot system functional and operational issues Providing systems training to staff and customers. Skills and Abilities Provides technical support for production infrastructure solutions and tools to help Tier 1 and 2 support teams Deploy and support the production infrastructure Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining SharePoint enterprise applications and supporting .NET applications Extends and augments the SharePoint platform using Microsoft ASP.NET development, JavaScript, and jQuery Participates in requirements gathering, technical design sessions, software development, peer reviews, unit and integration testing Uses SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) to create interactive, tabular, graphical, or free-form reports from relational, multidimensional, or XML- based data sources Work as part of a team, independently, with minimal supervision to achieve project milestones and deadlines Provide second-level support to end users, ensuring that their issues are clearly understood before proposing or implementing solutions Perform Enterprise level operations and sustainment activities Perform technical planning, systems integration and verification and validation Ability to work independently, triage issues, and prioritize tasks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering. MOSS or WSS certification. Previous experience as a SharePoint developer. Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks. Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services. High-level coding skills. Ability to solve complex software issues work and capable of working on both projects with well-defined requirements and those with fluid requirements Ability to project manage. Detail orientated. Self-motivated.
