Main purpose of the position: The Designer will utilize their strong acumen for fashion to create and interpret concepts to generate a final product for a specific brand. He or she will collaborate with different departments to manage the development of his or her product from initial concept through production across multiple brands. This is a permanent full-time role for a candidate who truly understands the market consumer and can apply it to the passion of his or her work. This position will also utilize their organizational skills to work independently to accomplish design departmental goals as well as working one on one with their Design Manager. Major Responsibilities: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Ownership over brands from development to production • Lead meetings and work one on one with directors and senior leads • Sketching • Tech-packing • Lead fittings, update tech pack construction and BOMs • Comment on 1st protos • Work cross functionally with product development on costing options • Work in our product console – naming, creating and updating styles etc. • Communicate with our vendors • Shop the market for inspiration as well as in depth online research • Build/Tech Packs/construction Detail Pages/maintain BOMs • Partner with tech designers to align design vision and complete fitting independently • Cultivate and train assistants which includes refining their design development process • Complete ad hoc assignments as assigned by management • Create detailed technical flats and line guides; this includes intricate CAD work, detailed construction details for review with Lead Designer. • Assist in conceptualizing and creating compelling product for the segment • Create mood boards, technical flats and line guides • Source and chose materials for product with minimal guidance Required Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: • Advanced hand and computer sketching ability • Strong communication skills • Strong sense of urgency and able to prioritize deadlines accordingly • Must be organized and able to juggle multiple deadlines and calendars • Must be a team player as we maneuver many moving parts • Must feel confident in leading fittings and meetings • Must feel confident working one on one with directors and other department leads Minimum Qualifications: • Minimum 5-6 years in Fashion Design • Must have leadership or management experience • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a must • Advanced visual and written communication skills • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories • Strong ability to clearly communicate silhouettes and detailed garment construction through tech pack creation and CADS Preferred Qualifications: • Minimum 7 years in Fashion Design • Procreate is a plus • Must have leadership or management experience • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a must • Advanced visual and written communication skills • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision. For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in California, Revolve includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current salary rate is $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
