Job Description We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the Dental Hygiene program. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean/Director of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours. The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department. Requirements Completion of a CODA approved Dental Hygiene program resulting in a minimum of an Associate degree Master degree required Active Registered Dental Hygiene license in the State of Maryland A minimum of 5 years of experience as an RDH in a clinical setting A minimum of 2 years of postsecondary/higher education teaching experience Prior leadership/management experience Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills. Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others
