DHR Health - US:TX:Edinburg - Days Summary: POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, coordinating and monitoring the development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of assigned business applications and projects. Coordinates and facilitates communication between teams within the IS Department and end-user departments; works independently and within team structures across the organization and physician practices. POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS : • High School/GED required. • Bachelor's degree in Computer or Business related fields preferred. • Experience implementing and supporting Business system applications preferred. • Proficiency in the use of personal computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email communication, and presentations. • Must possess excellent communication, organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE : • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience with hospital information system implementations, support and maintenance • Healthcare, Technical or Business experience preferred Responsibilities: POSITION RESPONSIBILITES: • Modifies, supports, maintains, tests, implements and provides education for the organization's business application systems. • Participate as needed on sponsored team projects for the purpose of analyzing, evaluating, researching, implementing and recommending new Business systems. • Effectively communicates all project findings and updates to coordinators, team members, and IS management within specified timelines. • Maintain a positive relationship with customers and serve as an advocate for the customers' Business Application needs. • Assist with creation and maintenance of manuals, documentation, and standard operating procedures for Business Applications. • Effectively communicate with leaders, team members, customers and others. • Cooperates with other staff members in the fulfillment of assignments. • Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment. • Understand the concepts of change control principals and working in an environment in which changes or modifications could affect multiple sites. • Analyze a change of events and implement the change by following established procedures. • Works under supervision of the manager and takes support and guidance from Engineer level staff to accomplish goals. • Lends support and guidance to team members as needed. • Expected to write documentation to describe program changes, development, logic, coding, and corrections. • Participate in on-call rotation. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Working Conditions: The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents. C. Occupational Exposure: This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way. D.
