Job Summary: Responsible for expense management including capital project support for organizational facilities and hospitals, vendor relationships and credentialing, contract management, standardization and consolidation processes, and utilization analysis in the assigned Service line. Works within a specific area of specialization to link, serve, and lead departments and physicians in improving financial outcomes by refining business processes and enhancing quality as it relates specifically to supply and service procurement, contract management. Represents the internal customer and the organization by focusing efforts on maximizing quality, minimizing costs and integrating individual departmental goals within system supply chain objectives. Provides direct supervision of the sourcing service line’s employees, and selects, evaluates, and issues corrective action for employee(s) as needed. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required Master's Degree: Preferred Five years' related experience: Preferred One year leadership experience: Preferred Essential Functions: Researches, identifies and evaluates contracting opportunities in new/renewing categories across supplies, purchase services and capital equipment. Applies working knowledge of techniques, principles, theories and concepts of the discipline, staff, technologies, services and practices to complete sourcing assignments. Negotiates and monitors vendor agreements to minimize cost throughout the supply chain. Reviews current, revised, and new group purchasing agreements to determine cost benefit to the organization. Provides direction to analysts to create data driven models to identify expense reduction opportunities and product conversion paths. Solves and escalates operational problems and technical issues. Modifies existing tools or processes. Ensures successful implementation of each project category by working with cross-functional stakeholders to completion. Monitors existing contracts to identify compliance issues and work with facilities to resolve any challenges. Prioritizes own weekly schedule and may guide others in the completion of tasks within clearly defined schedules as set by leadership. Works with value analysis teams, physicians and clinicians to evaluate products and services. Builds and manages relationships with suppliers/partners serving as the point of contact for relevant categories, issues and opportunities. Influences, negotiates and leverages spending with suppliers/partners. Review terms and conditions of contracts. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Solves escalated operational problems and technical issues.
