What you will do:

  1. Oversee U.S. federal, state and local income tax matters for a fast growth Real Estate Company
  2. Manage domestic income tax compliance function, including audits and special projects
  3. Drive the research, analysis, and modeling of the impact of tax developments in support of tax strategies respond to an evolving global tax landscape
  4. Oversee tax planning activities in US geographies as needed including working with colleagues and tax advisors
  5. Steer forecasting and manage complex tax projects through cross-functional implementation, including Controllership, Legal, M&A, Treasury and FP&A
  6. Communicate tax planning ideas, implications of changes in tax law in a clear and concise manner to senior leaders
  7. Support the business on tax impacts of new business models, expansions and divestitures and other enterprise initiatives such as legal entity rationalization
  8. Identify process improvements for various tax processes, implement changes for best practices
  9. Assist with various tax consulting projects such as voluntary disclosure agreements, filing positions, and reorganization transactions
  10. Coordinate with internal and attest auditors for control testing
  11. Act as a liaison and business partner with the different groups within the tax department to ensure that there is timely communication and collaboration on potential tax impacts.
  12. Assist with researching tax accounting implications of planning or transactional activities (including acquisitions), international expansion, audits, transfer pricing, and compliance
  13. Assist with special project and issues related to the accounting for income taxes.
  14. Work effectively with external advisors
  15. Develop and coach direct reports
  16. Other Accountabilities as Assigned

How you will grab our attention:

  1. Master’s degree required or equivalent years of applicable experience
  2. 15 + years of International Tax experience
  3. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  4. Experience with US international compliance and provision for FDII, GILTI, Subpart-F, CbCR and Pillar II
  5. Dedicated to deployment of process improvements to mitigate risk and add value
  6. Highly motivated, organized self-starter with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and demonstrated understanding of complex tax concepts; must be flexible, adaptable, and resourceful
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to interact professionally with diverse groups
  8. Excel/sheets skill set required
  9. Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Suite tools
  10. Experience with enterprise software such as Oracle, SAP, CorpTax, OneSource, Vertex, etc.
  11. Must be able to work in a high performance, fast-paced environment
