Senior Manager, Global Tax Planning, Research, M&A (Hybrid Remote CT/MA)

As the Sr. Manager of Global Tax Planning, Research and M&A you will be a key member of PerkinElmer’s Global Tax Team reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Tax. This high visibility role will, working with both internal and external stakeholder and advisors, be responsible for the optimization of PerkinElmer’s tax structure through tax planning initiatives and restructuring activities while maintaining strict adherence to global tax regulations and internal policies and controls. This role will also be responsible for research related to global tax regulations, developments and policy. Finally, this role will serve as the tax representative for any mergers, acquisitions or other transactions.
Location:
Primarily remote role but requires occasional travel by car to Shelton, CT and/or Woburn, MA for meetings 1-2x per month
Responsibilities:
Work with outside advisors to identify and manage/effectuate tax planning initiatives/strategies globally.
Lead cash mobilization efforts inclusive of cash pooling and other repatriation mechanisms.
Lead the global tax research function ensuring tax leadership is up to date with the current global tax landscape through monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments.
Advise on and support all M&A transactions ensuring tax efficiencies during and after integration, performing due diligence and tax risk analysis as well as tax structure analysis.
Advise on tax risk for both current structure as well as post-M&A transactions.
Advise on any divestiture transactions.
Manage OECD BEPS (Pillar 1 & 2) readiness and roll out, working with internal tax stakeholders to advise on current and future state and any associated tax reporting and compliance requirements.
Support company global mobility function through advising of any and all tax risk.
Review global contracts to ensure mitigation of tax risk.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar business subject matter.
10+ years of relevant experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm, multinational enterprise, or combination of both.
Strong understanding of global tax regulations inclusive of OECD BEPS.
Ability to work independently managing multiple projects/workstream simultaneously.
Proven track record with tax planning initiatives.
Proficient in BNA tax.
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word.
Excellent communication skills with ability to summarize technical tax concepts for non-tax audiences.
Preferred Characteristics
J.D. highly preferred
Advanced Degreed (i.e. LLM, MBA, MST)
The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $142,000 to $200,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
