Strategy Director, Global Design
– NIKE INC., Beaverton, OR. Work with executive leadership to develop and implement Nike’s global long-term strategy. Identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities, and catalyze action against these priorities through business planning processes and with cross-functional teams. Work as a catalyst to the strategic direction and priorities of the broader respective global design organization and work closely with members of the commensurable leadership team. Prioritize, scope, design, and direct strategy projects, leading strategy and cross-functional teams and interfacing closely with relevant business partners from across insights, innovation, brand, product merchandising, finance, planning, and marketplace. Support the chief design officer and act as their strategic chief of staff and extended leadership. Align and support extended leadership team against the highest priority initiatives. Drive highly effective interactions and decision-making processes. Serve as proxy or delegate for the leader when appropriate. Help to drive and connect to key strategic processes both backward looking and forward looking. Ensure that progress against key strategic milestones is achieved, and blend art with science, long-term vision with near-term pragmatism. Work at the intersection of commercial targets and creative expression. Develop strategic plans to ensure continued successful growth and profitability. Conduct environmental scans and organizational positioning analysis. Identify, investigate, evaluate, and negotiate acquisitions, divestitures, licensing opportunities, and strategic business alliances that are in line with the organization’s long-range goals. Drive a planning process in which all gates and dates are clearly understood and that result in all corporate planning deliverables being met. Up to 10% travel is required. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY. Minimum Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Design Innovation and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a business-related occupation.
