Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel General Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our hotel operations and to assist with the management of the onsite bars and restaurants. The ideal candidate will be a passionate hospitality professional with a proven track record of success in managing and motivating teams, maximizing guest satisfaction, and driving financial performance. The General Manager will be responsible for creating a welcoming and memorable experience for our guests while ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the hotel.
Salary Range for this position is $100,000 to $120,000 annually.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Provide inspirational leadership and direction to all hotel departments, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to employees.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Guest Experience
Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
Monitor guest feedback and address any concerns promptly and effectively.
Maintain a visible presence in the hotel and interact with guests regularly.
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional service across all departments.
Financial Performance
Develop and manage the hotel's annual budget.
Monitor revenue and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Analyze financial reports and make informed decisions to optimize profitability.
Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
Operations Management
Oversee the day-to-day operations of all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
Ensure the efficient and effective utilization of resources.
Implement and maintain quality assurance standards.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
Be available for emergencies.
Sales and Marketing
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain guests.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
Represent the hotel at industry events and networking functions.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel management in a full-service hotel with at least 2 years as a General Manager.
Must have experience using Opera POS.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of hotel operations and industry best practices.
Proficient in hotel management software and technology.
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management (preferred).
Experience working in a fully independent property (preferred).
