Starting Salary: $60,000/year
We are seeking a Hotel General Manager to join our team of professionals! The scope of this position is responsible for managing the profitable operation of the hotel to agreed business plan/budget, maintaining service and product-quality standards, marketing the hotel in such a way as to maintain the integrity of the brand-segmentation, managing human resources as per company policies and procedures and protects hotels assets and the well-being of its customers.
Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance, Vacation/Sick Pay and 401k
Primary Responsibilities:
Achieves the revenue targets in all profit centers.
Achieves the cost margins in all profit and cost centers.
Achieves the occupancy and rate targets as designated within the budgets.
Communicates information clearly and consistently with property and corporate management personnel.
100% guest satisfaction with all product and services.
Maintains a close and professional business relationship with all internal customers ensuring their satisfaction.
Effectively manages time and effort between property operations, public relations and marketing efforts to ensure successful outcomes for all.
Maintains superior organizational skills and provides detailed assistance with administrative functions.
Proficient in interviewing and recruiting qualified management candidates to facilitate smooth operations.
Knowledge in all phases of hotel operations, from corporate and company levels. Must remain updated and adaptable to constant change.
Knowledgeable in food and health safety issues (based upon hotel structure) including regulations and proper handling of incidents and emergencies.
Motivate and develop the skills of managers and crews in your operation by setting the pace and instilling confidence in them to accomplish the company's goals.
Follow, comply and support direction, instructions and policy communicated by regional and company executives.
Perform other tasks and functions as required due to business needs or directives even though not specifically detailed in the job description or those related to your position, but which are important to the success of the company.
Education / Experience:
College degree in hotel & restaurant management or related study or experience
At least 2 years of service as a Hotel General Manager or equivalent
Minimum 5 years direct hotel operations experience
Minimum 5 years supervisory experience
Must be at least 24 years of age
Competent knowledge of front desk, housekeeping and sales operations, F&B operations as appropriate and a reasonable understanding of engineering functions
Skills:
Attention to detail
Strong computer skills and proficiency in various products such as Word, Excel and other complimentary products
Proven 'hands-on trainer' of personnel
Possess high level of energy, creativity and enthusiastic nature driven to provide customer satisfaction both internal and external
Excellent oral and written skills and communication
Strong mathematical skills
